When making the decision to establish a presence in a new region, typically a company has 2 main options:

  1. Set up a new office and send out one or more existing employees, until local employees can be found and trained
  2. Try to service the clients remotely from the home location, with fly-in support as required

The drawbacks to the first approach are that existing employees may not have experience and contacts within the new region and therefore may not know how to gain access to potential clients.

In addition the potential business may not be able to fund full-time headcount initially and there can be significant time and expense required to setup a new office. For many companies this approach is just too costly.

As one might expect, potential clients do not favour the second option. Asian clients prefer to have local people to communicate with. That is why in our experience this approach has very limited success.

Service Details:

Can be part-time or full-time depending on requirements
When a company wishes to pursue sales opportunities in the Asian market but does not wish to invest in fulltime staff or setup an office in the region.

For this situation Percival can offer any or all of the following services:
  1. Represent client in SE Asia and be the main contact for the region (we can carry your company business card if required)
  2. Become trained on the sales aspects of the product or service
  3. Obtain all marketing and sales materials, presentations, collateral, demo’s etc and be trained to effectively deliver the company’s sales story
  4. Lead all Presales activities in SE Asia
  5. Answer any questions and respond to requests from potential clients (may require backend support)
  6. Work with or locate potential partners and work with them on contract details and potential deals.
  7. Provide a local Singapore office address for use by the company
